New Financial Times series on Qatargate

FairSquare’s concerns about Qatar’s influence in Brussels ahead of the 2022 World Cup have been featured in a new Financial Times podcast series released this week.

FairSquare director James Lynch is interviewed in the second episode of the series reflecting on Qatar’s need to improve its image after years of being held to account for the conditions of migrant workers constructing infrastructure and stadiums for the tournament, and FairSquare’s concerns about how it improved this image.
